Start each day at our Summer Camp in Japan with interactive Japanese lessons that make learning fun and exciting. Kids develop reading, writing, and speaking skills through games and group activities.

It’s time for food. We introduce the kids to some of Japan’s most popular and finest foods as we fill up on classics such as Ramen, Tempura and Sushi before a busy afternoon.

It’s time to hit the streets of Tokyo for an afternoon packed with excitement! We take the kids to some of the city’s best-loved spots, from serene temples to interactive museums.
SATURDAY
FULL DAY TRIP
Saturdays are for big adventures!
With no classes, we spend the whole day exploring Tokyo or Osaka and beyond.
We will visit famous spots like Shibuya Crossing, anime heaven in Akihabara, or the stunning Osaka Castle. It’s a full day of sights, snacks, and stories!
After a busy week of activities and learning, Sunday is a day of rest, before it starts all over again on the following Monday.
Kids can join anytime between June and August for a minimum of one week.

For 12 to 17-year-oldsStaying with a homestay family offers students a unique opportunity to experience local culture up close while practising their language skills daily. Students share breakfast and dinner with the family and can join in on weekend activities, especially on Sundays. Each student enjoys the comfort and privacy of their own single room.

We cap this strictly so that your child has the best chance to progress.

Do I need to speak Japanese to join the Japan summer camp?
No, complete beginners are welcome.
In fact most of our summer camp students are beginners or A1-A2 level.
Students are placed in small classes matching their ability, from absolute beginner to advanced.
You’ll be using real Japanese from day one, both in class and out exploring the city.
How old do you need to be for a summer camp in Japan?
Our Japanese summer camp is available for all kids and teens between the ages of 7 and 17.
Kids courses are available for 7-11 year olds and teens are 12-17.
Is Japan safe for teenagers attending summer camp?
Yes, Japan is consistently ranked among the safest countries in the world, and both Tokyo and Osaka are exceptionally safe cities.
On top of that, LTL students are supervised by experienced group leaders throughout, with 24/7 emergency support for complete peace of mind.
Can my child stay with me?
Yes of course.
If you’d rather your child stay with you instead of one of our homestays of the residence camp, that’s no problem.
Should I choose a summer camp in Tokyo or the summer camp in Osaka?
Both camps follow the same structure of morning Japanese classes and afternoon activities.
Tokyo offers the energy of the world’s biggest city, from Harajuku to teamLab, while Osaka is famous for street food, friendly locals and easy day trips to Kyoto and Nara.
